Raise Money and Awareness

If you have more of a flair for project management, we would love you to host an event in aid of Trinity. This allows more profit to come straight to Trinity and support some of the most vulnerable people in Winchester.

With a small (but perfectly formed) fundraising team, we always need more people to help us increase our income. This is mostly done through local fundraising events. Organising any event, large or small, takes a blend of time, energy and expertise – people are needed to help with planning, publicity, setting up, helping on the day, unpacking and then contacting participants afterwards!

If you would like to get involved in what is already going on, check out our upcoming events.

Match Funding

Many companies will now Match Fund what you fundraise or donate. Check with your employer, banks or local companies to see if you can increase your giving.

Gift Aid It

It’s the easiest way to donate. If you’re a tax payer, Gift Aid increases the value of your donations to Trinity and allows us to reclaim basic rate tax on your gift. If you pay higher rate tax you can claim extra relief on your donations. If you claim higher Personal Allowances or tax credits, Gift Aid donations can sometimes increase your entitlement.

Simply put, this means that by ticking the Gift Aid box when you donate online or fill in a form when you send a cheque, Trinity will receive an extra 25%, at no expense to you or us! It’s a no brainer.

So please, if you are not donating online, fill in this form to ensure that we can Gift Aid your donation!

Spare Change

Look out for our collecting tins in many shops and pubs around Winchester. Administered by Winchester BID, every penny donated is split between Trinity and Winchester Churches Nightshelter. Please keep an eye out for them around the city – every penny makes a difference.

Legacy Giving

With the expenses of daily life, it can be difficult to find money to donate regularly, but you may like to consider thinking of us in your Will? We spoke to Elisabeth Pollard, Head of Probate at Shentons Solicitors in Winchester, to explore further how to make a gift to Trinity in this way.

Elisabeth suggests: “If some time has passed since you updated your Will, perhaps now is the time to contact your Solicitor to revise it and consider adding a gift to Trinity. Alternatively, if your will is entirely up to date you can simply add to the existing document via a Codicil; this is a short document which can specify a bequest to Trinity should you wish to make one.”

Any amount, no matter how small, is a huge help to us to continue our valuable work. And did you know that any legacy you leave to charity passes completely free of Inheritance Tax?  If you would like further information please contact Paul Williams, Trusts and Statutory Fundraiser at Trinity.
