Volunteer Your Time

We regularly host ‘new volunteers’ sessions’ for potential volunteers to see the work of Trinity first-hand and discuss with members of the management team if there is a suitable voluntary position available.

There are countless ways that you can volunteer your time with Trinity. We will definitely be able to find something that will fit around you. For an informal chat about volunteering, feel free to call us.

We hold a volunteer session every other month where you will be able to find out more about Trinity during a short presentation, tour and Q&A

General Helper

If you have time to spare during the day, and are able to commit to volunteering with us in the morning or afternoon, we would love to hear from you. From Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 4.00pm, volunteers can:

 

  • Assist with learning activities
  • Sort through donated items
  • Clean or tidy up
  • Collect food donations
  • Collect laundry

Kitchen Volunteer

Throughout the week we open our doors to clients and provide a healthy breakfast and nutrious cooked meal for lunch. We need volunteers to help in the kitchen between 9.00am to 1.00pm from Monday – Friday.

 

  • Preparing and cooking food
  • Serving cooked lunch 
  • Talking with rough sleepers
  • Cleaning up the main hall
  • Refilling soft drinks
  • Cleaning kitchen area

Gardening Volunteer

Do you love gardening? Why not volunteer a few hours of your time to help us keep our gardens in check. This would include:

  • Mowing the grass
  • Weeding
  • Planting
  • General tidying of our garden areas

Fundraising Volunteer

Could you dedicate a couple of hours of your time to help fundraiser for Trinity, if so we’d love to hear from you. Volunteers can get involved with:

  • Trinity’s Big Sleep Out
  • WHD Black Tie Dinner
  • Firewalk
  • Challenge events
  • Winchester Christmas market
  • Bucket collections
  • General fundraising

Job Club Volunteer

Job Club offers an introduction to using e-mails, writing a CV, job search training, interview techniques and how to use the government gateway website.

The club provides the opportunity to access learning and training, gain nationally recognised qualifications through courses at local educational providers and attain the skills and confidence they need to secure employment.

We are looking for volunteers who could support the club in:

  • Preparing a CV
  • Job searching
  • Interview skills
  • Basic IT skills
  • Work experiences opportunities
  • Gaining qualifications

Maintenance Volunteer

Maintenance volunteers provide valuable support to our team, keeping up the general maintenance of the building, which could include:

  • General handy DIY tasks
  • Painting and decorating
  • Putting up shelves
  • Repairing furniture

Some DIY skills would be desirable.
