Together We Can Change Lives
Trinity is seeking a £5,000 grant from the Aviva Community Fund. This grant will enable us to run a “Learning for Life” programme (L4L) designed to take young people on a 12 week journey into, or closer to, employment. By voting for our project (and you can vote 10 times!), you can help us achieve this.
The Project
This project will offer personalised training and activities to allow people to gain new skills. Activities will include CV building, interview training and taking on-line courses, leading to accredited qualifications. “Trinity Crew” work experience will include catering, cleaning, maintenance and gardening.
L4L will help to increase people’s confidence and improve their mental health.
Although Winchester seems to be a prosperous community, that is not everyone’s experience. Parts of Winchester fall into the bottom 10% of education and training deprivation in England, not only in Hampshire. Trinity’s drop in centre gives people who are homeless and unemployed tools for a more positive future.
The £5,000 funding we are applying for will pay for more project worker time, training and supporting volunteers, course fees and materials.
