Outreach / Floating Support

To combat the rough sleeping problem in Winchester, Trinity has developed an Outreach Initiative in partnership with the Winchester Churches Nightshelter and Georges, drug and alcohol services.

Supported by local partners, our Outreach Service focuses on rough sleepers in the community. These people are often the most hard to reach and in greatest need. We offer hot drinks, advice, signposting to key agencies and encouragement to engage with our Drop-in Service.

We’ve had real success with this service. This time last year our Outreach team were finding around 30 rough sleepers on a regular basis. Due to our hard work and persistence, in a recent measurement programme we saw just 14 individuals and we now believe there are less than 10 individuals sleeping rough in the city each night.

If you are worried about somebody who might be sleeping on the streets, please contact us.
