Twenty fearless supporters took fundraising to new heights on Sunday 16 August, abseiling 100 metres down one of the South Coast’s most iconic landmarks, the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, in support of Trinity’s vital services.
The group of brave participants faced the exhilarating descent to help raise funds that will enable local people to take their own steps forward. Together, they have raised an incredible £14,700 and counting.
Supporters from local organisations including Shentons Solicitors, Selwood, HJS Technology, and St Clements Surgery took part in the challenge, alongside members of the Trinity team, volunteers and the former Mayor of Winchester.
The fundraising total will directly support Trinity’s work with people experiencing homelessness and those in need of practical support across the local community.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in this year’s Spinnaker Tower abseil,” said Trinity CEO Hannah Scott. “Descending the Spinnaker Tower is no small feat, and the commitment shown by our supporters will make a real difference to the people who rely on our services.”
The event combined breathtaking views, personal determination and community spirit, with participants stepping well outside their comfort zones to support a cause close to their hearts.
