About Our Men’s Service

Trinity is pleased to offer a counselling service supporting men and those who identify as male. Men, whatever their history or background, are welcome to access this free and inclusive service, offered face-to-face.

In our society, many men find it difficult to openly share their feelings and ask for help during times of difficulty. Our service is available to help you feel empowered in finding your voice, to feel fully heard and understood. In doing so, we aim to challenge some of the out-dated views of how, or what men should be. Our mission is to break the cycle of shame, regularly experienced by many and offer hope and a new outlook in life within the long-term.

Our service will provide short and long-term counselling, tailored to address specific issues, such as living with poor mental health, addiction and historical trauma. The counsellors delivering this service are experienced and appropriately trained to provide a friendly, safe, and non-judgmental environment. We are an inclusive service and do not discriminate.  We will discuss the kind of support you may need, or benefit from, during assessment.

Wait Time

Please discuss this with the counselling lead who will give you an up-to-date idea of our current wait time. We stay in contact with you while you are on our list and give notice when a space may become available to you.

Professional standards

We adhere to the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) Ethical Framework.

You all provide a wonderful service. Please don’t forget that every day you come to work, you make a difference to someone’s life. You have definitely made a difference to mine.
