Adams Hendry have named Trinity Winchester it’s Charity of the Year for 2019.

Sue Mckenna, CEO of Trinity Winchester, said: “ We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen by Adams Hendry staff as their charity of the year. It is fantastic to have long term support from a local business to help deliver on our mission which is to be the ‘go-to’ safe place for homeless and vulnerable people in Winchester.”

Trinity has planned several fundraising activities for the year ahead, including the biggest upcoming fundraiser for homelessness in Winchester, the Big Sleep Out which will be held in the grounds of the Winchester Cathedral on Friday 17th May 2019, we are hoping to beat last year total raised of £37,000 to support local homeless people. Other events include a cycling event, skydives, abseils, along with our well attended annual Black-Tie Dinner being held on Friday 11th October at the Holiday Inn Winchester with entertainment inspired by Abba to support World Homeless Day.

Emma Barnett, Director of Adams Hendry, added: “Adams Hendry are delighted to announce Trinity Winchester as our charity of the year for 2019. We recognise the important role Trinity plays in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of society and will be fundraising throughout the year to help them continue to do so. As well as hosting our own in-house fundraising events and supporting those run by Trinity, we will also be volunteering our services throughout the year, with each member of our team able to use a paid volunteer day.”

During the year, Adams Hendry will run a host of fundraising activities to support the charity’s work, including a charity quiz night, pop-up kitchen, bake sale and various sporting challenges.
